Norms violations in classroom design

Updated: Mar 5, 2019

The picture above shows one of the students seats in Pegasus school, Chrischurch, New-Zealand. Maybe it is less comfortable and the students do not sit "nicely" (…) on it, but it represents thinking out of the box.

Moreover, it shows that we can take a material or element from one world, and use it in a different area and for a totally different purpose. Therefore, this element is an inspiration. Inspiration with an educational values of thinking out of the box, of reusing resources, of using different materials, and of making and creating.

This element shows that in a short investment we can make a great 21st century classroom. Not technology makes innovation, but ways of thinking and perception.
